Brick Pavers FAQs

A Brick Paver is a unique and personalized way to honor your Longhorn and leave a lasting tribute on campus. Below you'll find answers to common questions about the Texas Parents Brick Pavers. My cart keeps emptying when I attempt to check out with my brick. 
We are finding the Google Chrome and Safari web browsers have been experiencing technical difficulties that don't allow and “empty” the cart before completing the transaction. We encourage using a different web browser such as Firefox for your Brick Paver transaction. If you continue to experience issues, please call the Texas Parents office at 512-471-2353 for assistance in completing your transaction. Thank you and our apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.
 
Did I purchase my brick through Texas Parents or Texas Exes? 
Texas Parents and Texas Exes (The University of Texas at Austin’s Alumni Association) are two separate entities. Both sell a type of brick that are laid on campus each year. Texas Exes sells Tiles with uniform engraving which are placed around the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center while Texas Parents sells Bricks with customizable inscriptions which are placed in front of the Student Services Building. If you are unsure which you purchased, please call our office. 
 
My student is not graduating this year, should I purchase a Brick Paver now or wait? 
We encourage you to order a Brick Paver the year your student will graduate as there could be changes in the customized inscription between the time you purchased and your student’s graduation (e.g. change of major or year graduated). You are also able to purchase a Brick Paver for someone who has already graduated, regardless of the year.
 
Who can I purchase a Brick Paver for? 
Brick Pavers are a perfect gift for your graduating Longhorn, but they are also a great idea for any other past, present or future Longhorns in your life!
 
I have purchased a Brick Paver, now what? 
Once your Brick Paver transaction has posted, you will receive an email from Texas Parents confirming your purchase and providing you a link to fill out the inscription form for the Brick Paver. Once the inscription form has been submitted, we will send you a confirmation email for you to approve. 
 
When is the deadline to order a Brick Paver? 
Brick Paver orders opened November 1 and will close DATE.  If you purchase a Brick Paver before Sunday, December 19 at 11:59 p.m. you will receive a digital Brick Paver certificate along with your order should you wish to present it to you recipient as a gift during the holidays. After Sunday, December 19, orders will not receive a digital Brick Paver certificate.  All Brick Paver orders, regardless of order date, will receive a printed certificate from Texas Parents in late April.
 
When will the Brick Paver be installed?  
Texas Parents Brick Pavers are installed before May Commencement. 
 
Where will my Brick Paver be located? 
Brick Pavers are installed on the Student Services Building plaza, in front of the main entry on Dean Keeton Street. In late April, Brick Paver purchasers will receive a packet by mail which will include a detailed map showing your Brick Paver’s specific location. 
 
Do I have to be a Texas Parents member to order a brick? 
Anyone can purchase a Texas Parents Brick Paver, but only active Texas Parents Four-Year/Transfer supporting members receive the Burnt Orange and Bronze level discounts.
