Who can order a Brick Paver?
Anyone can place an order for a Brick Paver. Most often, parents and families of seniors order a Brick Paver as a graduation present for their Longhorn. Active Texas Parents supporting members with Four-Year benefits (including Transfer members) receive discounts at the Burnt Orange and Bronze levels.
Do I have to be a Texas Parents member to order a Brick Paver?
Anyone can purchase a Texas Parents Brick Paver, but only active Texas Parents Four-Year/Transfer supporting members receive the Burnt Orange and Bronze level discounts.
Did I order my Brick Paver through Texas Parents or Texas Exes?
Texas Parents and Texas Exes (The University of Texas at Austin’s Alumni Association) are two separate entities. Both sell a type of brick that is laid on campus each year. Texas Exes sells Tiles with uniform engraving which are placed around the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center while Texas Parents sells Bricks with customizable inscriptions which are placed in front of the Student Services Building. If you are unsure which you purchased, please call our office.
Who can I order a Brick Paver for?
Brick Pavers are a perfect gift for your graduating Longhorn, but they are also a great idea for any other past, present or future Longhorns in your life!
Can I order multiple Brick Pavers and have them laid together?
Yes, you can order multiple Brick Pavers. If you wish for them to be laid together, you will indicate your request when confirming engraving instructions.
Can I request that my order and another person’s order be laid together?
Yes, you can request your Brick Paver is laid next to another Brick Paver ordered by someone else; however, both orders must acknowledge the request for it to be approved.
My student is not graduating this year. Should I order a Brick Paver now or wait?
We encourage you to order a Brick Paver the year your student will graduate as there could be changes in the customized inscription between the time you purchased and your student’s graduation (e.g. change of major or year graduated). You are also able to purchase a Brick Paver for someone who has already graduated, regardless of the year.
When is the deadline to order a Brick Paver?
Brick Paver orders will close January 22, 2025.
I have ordered a Brick Paver. What's next?
Once your Brick Paver credit card transaction has posted, you will receive an email from Texas Parents within three business days from the time of purchase confirming your purchase. This email will also provide you a link to fill out the inscription form for the Brick Paver.
When will the Brick Paver be installed?
Texas Parents Brick Pavers are installed before May Commencement.
Where will my Brick Paver be located?
Brick Pavers are installed on the Student Services Building plaza at the corner of W. Dean Keeton Street and University Avenue in front of the main entry on Dean Keeton Street. The physical address is 100 W. Dean Keeton Street, Austin, TX 78712.
How do I find the Brick Paver once it has been installed?
Once all the 2024-25 Brick Pavers have been installed, the Texas Parents office will mail the contact person on the order a packet containing multiple documents, including a personalized map. The bricks are laid within a grid that has alpha markers running horizontally at the top and bottom of the area and numerical markers running vertically on both sides.
When I order a Brick Paver, is the gift tax-deductible?
Yes, the full value of the gift you make is tax-deductible.
What does my gift support?
With the order of a Brick Paver, your gift supports the operation of the Texas Parents department, which is self-sustaining and in place to assist all undergraduate parents and families from their student’s enrollment through graduation.
