Many years ago, Texas Parents (formerly the Dads' Association and Parents' Association) established several endowments, funded by gifts from UT parents, to provide awards to students and faculty. Each year, these endowments allow the University to award outstanding faculty and students for their achievements.
W.D. “Bill” Blunk Endowed Presidential Scholarship
The W.D. “Bill” Blunk Endowed Presidential Scholarship was established in 1976 to honor the memory of Bill Blunk, a long-time director of the Dads’ Association. Bill was a special friend to University students and their parents during his nearly three decades of service to UT.

Dad’s Association Centennial Teaching Fellowship
The Dads’ Association Centennial Teaching Fellowships were established in recognition of UT’s centennial celebration in 1983. Four Centennial Teaching Fellowships are awarded each year, two for the fall semester and two for the spring. Academic deans are asked to nominate candidates based on quality and dedication in teaching freshman undergraduates.

Dads' Association Patron’s Endowed Presidential Scholarship
The Dads’ Association Patron's Endowed Presidential Scholarship was first awarded in 1991 and is a merit-based award recognizing students from any academic major.
