The university understands the importance of keeping parents and families informed and connected from enrollment through graduation and encourages all families to participate in the Texas Parents Association.
Texas Parents is a department in the Division of Student Affairs dedicated to helping you through all phases of the undergraduate journey. The department manages the Texas Parents Association, the university's official association of parents and families.
All parents and families of enrolled undergraduate students are members of the association, but families must sign up to begin receiving membership benefits. Memberships are set up per household, allowing one or two parents in the same household to enjoy benefits no matter how many students you have at UT Austin. You will need your student’s EID to sign up.
There are two types of membership with multiple levels. We encourage you to explore the levels below and choose the level that is best for your family.
Types of Membership:
All families are extended a U-Touch complimentary membership in the Texas Parents Association. This membership keeps you “in touch” with the university through multiple communication platforms, including a monthly Texas Parents Association eNewsletter and important updates from university administration.
With a tax-deductible gift to the Texas Parents Association, families can sign up for a One-Year, Four-Year or Transfer supporting membership. These gifts are vital as they fund the operation of the Texas Parents office and are reinvested into the UT community through multiple outlets. Supporting members receive the same communication as U-Touch members as well as additional benefits including access to the Texas Parents closed Facebook group, discounts with local and national vendors and special opportunities with Texas Athletics.
